Cape Cod Intergroup  Keynotes from 8/3/2024 Meeting

1. The 2024 Cape Cod Annual Retreat “Happy, Joyous and Free” is on Sunday, September 22, 2024,from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

There will be speakers, fun activities and a meditation.

Representatives are asked to bring flyers to in person meetings.

2. There were two attempted Zoom Bombings reported by meetings.   Both were handled safely and quickly with minimal disruption to the meeting thanks to quick thinking and well trained hosts.   Further security  training sessions are available to all member by request.

3. The Treasurer will be making quarterly donations from the 7th tradition donations including Paypal to Region 6 and WSO on a 10% and 30% basis.
Representatives, please remind members if they make a 7th step donation through paypal to specify which OA meeting to credit.

4. CCI will have an OA informational booth at the Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders on September 5-7.  Over 1,200 healthcare professionals from around the world will participate.  It’s a special event to inform professionals of our OA recovery

5. CCI will be holding the workshop  “Service, Traditions and Concepts”,  facilitated by the Region 6 Chair  on Sunday, November 10 from 1:00-4:00 pm.
This event will be virtual. All OA members are invited to attend. The workshop will be widely advertised.  More details to come.

7. Meetings needing support: The Dennis Saturday Newcomers virtual meeting and the Centerville Friday 10 am live meeting

8. Special Tip of the month to members:  7th step donations: In addition to our usual expenses (zoom room, web page maintenance, mail box, postage, copying expenses, event expenses etc.) this month member’s donations have been used to purchase CCI/OA pens to give out at the Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders to help spread the message of how to find OA.  Left over pens will be available for other events.
